SCIENTIFIC COLLABORATIONS

IMG_1931[1]IMG_1932[1]Today we investigated the four domains of science

The children COLLABORATED in groups with students made up from across all three grades.

They had to classify images and matching statements from a random collection prepared prior to the lesson.

In a magnificent afternoons work they created posters  – some solely devoted to one sphere eg ; Earth Science – others divided their posters into four categories displaying Physical – Biology – Chemical  – Earth

COMMUNITY SERVICE – JAMES AND ANGUS -CONGRATULATIONS

DURING THE COURSE OF TERM 1 – OUR STUDENTS DECIDED – AS A PART OF OUR INQUIRY – TO TAKE UP SOME COMMUNITY ACTIONS – HERE IS ONE –

A wonderful moment in our room last Friday when James and Angus presented their recent charity work for the R.S.P.C.A.Between them they collected blankets – gathered pet food and litter to take along to the Main Building in Burwood  to donate to the animals currently being sheltered here.

In a moving presentation, the boys described how they made their presentation to the Shelter , having being supported by their families and friends. A powerpoint which we will add soon, displayed photos of all the people who contributed to this wonderful project.

The R.S.P.C.A were so thankful they presented the boys with caps and certificates.

CONGRATULATION BOYS – SUCH A WONDERFUL ACTION.

BOYS RESPONSES – HOW DID YOU FEEL?

Angus ‘In my heart I wanted to cry!”

James “I felt I was really helping the animals even though they may not be here for long.”

STAY TUNED FOR MORE.
