PROBLEM BASED LEARNING

What is Problem Based Learning?

Investigating issues that concern us and seeing what type of actions could be taken to improve things.

We – The Middles – are investigating how humans interact with the Environment and what has occured as a result  of this.

OH DEAR – WE DO SEEM TO HAVE A FEW PROBLEMS – WHAT ARE THEY AND WHAT CAN WE DO?

Well here is a start.

ENDANGERED SPECIES  The Southern Corroboree Frog.

WHY IS IT ENDANGERED?

File:Corooboree Frog range.PNG

or even closer to home here in Blackburn – THE GROWLER FROG

We will Investigate some of the environmental factors we learnt of a C.E.R.E.S Environmental Park that have caused harm to our native birds and animals.

We will also consider some of the the things we discovered about the introduced species of fish such as the Mosquito fish and European carp and it’s impact upon native frogs and fish.

SOME CHANGES  AND IMPACTS WE HAVE DISCUSSED  INCLUDE.

Change = Clearing Trees off Land

Impact = Loss of Habitat for plants and animals
